Arterial Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Arterial ("the app") is developed by Toru Kawaguchi. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Summary
Arterial does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Information the app does not collect
- The app does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details.
- The app does not request access to your device's location.
- The app does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
Data stored on your device
The road networks you load or edit, and the trips and simulation results you create, exist only on your device while you use the app. The app also stores a single setting on your device that records whether you have already seen the help screen. None of this is sent to the developer.
Third-party services
To provide its features, the app connects to the following services. Their own privacy policies apply to the information they receive.
- Apple Maps (MapKit) displays the map and handles place searches. The text you type in the search field is sent to Apple to find matching places. See Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- OpenStreetMap (Overpass API) provides road and rail data. When you tap "Roads (OSM)" or "Rail (OSM)", the app sends the geographic boundaries of the area shown on your screen to an Overpass API server. As with any internet request, the server can see your device's IP address. The app does not send any other information. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
